Winged Sneakers Are Exchanged For Candy-Dipped Kicks By Jeremy Scott x Adidas
The latest collaboration between Jeremy Scott and adidas Originals won't give you wings, but it will fulfill your sweet taste.
The DIP line, a variety of bright athleisure and two fun footwear options, will be released only months after the pair revived their iconic "winged" shoe.
The first is a rock candy-inspired "glazed" variation of the Forum Hi and Forum Low. The glossy shoes are finished in brilliant orange, pink, lime green, and turquoise for a striking, if not mouth-watering, look.
Gigi Hadid walked the catwalk for Moschino in a gown that appeared to be made out of a pastel baby blanket and was finished off with a milk bottle-shaped handbag.
In comparison to past releases, Scott and adidas' current effort is more subdued — in addition to the aforementioned winged sneakers and teddy bear high-tops, they've also released panda bear, gorilla, and poodle-topped shoes, as well as some Flintstones-inspired kicks with big bones.
Their "DIP" collection is a little more subdued than others, but it's still plenty of personality.
The second is a neon yellow slide with a plush animal head, similar to the teddy bear high-top from Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals.
With a range of terry fabric tracksuits, likewise rendered in a rainbow of fluorescents, the duo put Juicy Couture to shame in terms of fashion.
The collaboration was "inspired by the indisputably bright, loud, and esoteric aesthetics of the 2000s," according to the two businesses. Scott is the uncontested king of the kitschy, campy style that defined the early 2000s.
