The Nike Air Max BW ‘Persian Violet' Is Being Celebrated At Footshop

Increase the volume!

Footshop, Prague's finest sneaker boutique, is going crazy to celebrate the debut of the Nike Air Max BW OG ‘Persian Violet,' channeling the BW's seismic mark on the European art and music scene.

Footshop has invited legend of Czech graffiti Matej Olmer and hugely talented youngster rokenroller to create their own artwork in two separate white cubes – one relating to gabber and the other to grime – paying special attention to Rotterdam's reverberating gabber dance scene and the UK's grime movement. Both white rooms were branded with the artists' creative energy before being split into four separate art works that will be auctioned, with all proceeds going to a local charity that assists disadvantaged kids.

But the fun doesn't end there!

Footshop has partnered together with Prague techno duo Fractions for the music component, creating a unique gabber tune inspired by Rotterdam's 1990s nightlife! On the grime front, Footshop enlisted beatmaker Huclberry to produce a custom track for the video based on Dizzee Rascal's "Bonkers," which is intrinsically linked to the movement's popularity. Dizzee loves the Nike Air Max BW and wore one on the front cover of his debut album, Boy in da Corner.
