Take A Closer Look At The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 For The First Time
Even though we're nearing the end of the year, there's still a lot of heat to be had. From a plethora of Yeezy releases to a bevy of Off-White collaborations, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 is the collection we're most excited about.

We had no idea what to anticipate when the initial leaks of this Air Max 1 collaboration surfaced over seven months ago. The mock-ups were a touch shady, and most of the information around the drop seemed off. After all, why would La Flame release five AM1s in a row?! He's never done anything like that before! As we have our finest look yet at the "Baroque Brown" and the "Wheat," it appears he'll be proving us wrong.
These two pairs, painted in an earthy palette and vivid tones, appear to be from opposing ends of the color spectrum. The "Baroque Brown" features vivid red highlights, whilst the "Wheat" features strong cyan colours. All of this is painted on top of a beautiful ballistic mesh, quality leather, and buttery suede construction.
Of course, no discussion of this collaboration would be complete without noting the inverted Swoosh on the lateral panel, which pays homage to the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High "Dark Mocha" from 2019. There are also some Boy Scout-inspired elements, such as patterned ribbons and flags. A new "CJ" insignia can be found on the tongue, and a "Cactus Corporation" logo that we've never seen before can be found right under the shoe.

The Nike Air bubble, as we've already stated, is the most contentious aspect of this sneaker. The visible unit is, without a doubt, one of the AM1's most distinctive characteristics, thus the American rapper's decision to remove it entirely is a statement in and of itself.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 will be released later this year alongside the "Cave Stone," "Grey Haze," and "Saturn Gold."
