Sean Wotherspoon's Adidas Superturf Will Take Jiminy Cricket To The Trail

Sean Wotherspoon has dug deep into his past for his upcoming adidas shoe collaboration. The new pair of sneakers, which is Wotherspoon's own Superturf Adventure SW design, is made of corduroy, one of his favorite materials.

Wotherspoon will collaborate with Disney on the fresh new outdoor-inspired model for his third eco-friendly shoe partnership with the Three Stripes.

The tongue of the first colorway features Jiminy Cricket from Disney's Pinocchio, a nod to the character's presence on Disneyland recycle bins.

The Round Two co-founder teased the multicolored shoe on Instagram a few weeks ago, with a purple base with orange, yellow, and blue overlays. "Corduroy is back, and I'm thrilled!" he wrote. The material was notably utilized by Wotherspoon on his coveted Nike Air Max 1/97.

However, he recently offered us a closer look at the sneaker, showing that it is his original silhouette. "Nothing beats wearing my own silhouette! Thanks to @disney for allowing me to utilize Jiminy Cricket in "Super Turf Adventure by SW"! For me, this endeavor is nothing short of a dream come true "According to Wotherspoon.

This time, the vegan shoe is made with recycled materials, including a cork insole and 100% recycled polyester in the sockliners and 20% recycled polyester in the uppers. Over the laces is a removable corduroy cover with a waterproof sealed zipper. Best of all, if the wearer so wants, the bag may be removed and utilized as a wallet or keychain. The Response Hoverturf model's Adiprene+ cushioning and outsole are used in the trail-like shoe.

At this time, it's unknown whether the collaboration shoe will come in more than one colorway. The designer's next effort, according to insiders, will be available on September 25 via adidas' website and select retailers.

Review: Nike Air Max 90 Hot Coral

Features These arrive in a slender red and grey Nike box, same like the other AMIII colorways. On one side of the box is a flashback boxtag, and on the other is the current tag. An orange rubbery plastic hangtag, magenta anatomical arch supports, and basic flat white laces are included. The inside of the tongue has a retro size tag, and the size is stated inside the ankle. Materials There's nothing out of the ordinary here; the recraft quality is on par with the other AM3 retros. With the felt swoosh, the upper is primarily smooth leather and mesh. The materials are softer and more durable than non-recraft AM90s, but the shoe isn't quite a "materials" sneaker. The sole purpose of this shoe is to elicit that old 1990 vibe, and the materials are acceptable for that purpose. With This Spooky Superstar, adidas Gets Into The Halloween Spirit

adidas isn't usually one to get into the Halloween mood, but this year is different. The company has been teasing what's in store for the night since July, with delights like applique-adorned ZX 8000s and a Jack-O-Lantern embellished Superstar, as seen above.  The shell toe, unlike the ZX runner, is considerably more restrained, opting for a basic get-up. The side is made up of black corduroy and tumbled leather stripes, with a shadow plaid eye stay in the middle. The carved spider web design on the tongue, despite being blackened out, adds intrigue. Orange logos and pumpkin dubraes appear everywhere, while the lining stands out with its fuzzy green material.
