Roscomar's New Sneaker Collection Was Created With "Afterlife Care" In Mind

Roscomar's new Fall/Winter 2021 shoe collection examines the product lifecycle from beginning to end, providing consumers with unique production insights that take the guesswork out of making informed purchasing decisions.

Commitment to changing consumer behavior and manufacturing within the fashion and shoe industries has become critical as a society. With the global climate catastrophe upon us and the very real repercussions looming, companies are being pressured to do more, even if it means doing less.

So-called "greenwashing" has made ethical purchasing tough for sneakerheads in particular. In and among the din, there are businesses, individuals, customers, and organizations actively striving to develop practical solutions that will allow us to enjoy products with little environmental effect.

Roscomar is developing for "Afterlife Care" in an effort to give an extra degree of clarity to the purchase process and the impact specific product manufacturing cycles have.

It's tough to know how to get rid of shoes once they've been worn in and worn out, especially if they're unsuited for resale. Roscomar's "Afterlife Care," a complementary recycling program that assures none of its shoes wind up in trash, eliminates this ambiguity from the end-point of the product lifecycle.

The manufacturing process is also crucial. The CO2e date is shown on the tongue of each Roscomar shoe, allowing customers to choose lower-impact purchases – or use it as a benchmark to compare to other consumer items.

The low-top silhouettes follow a classic shoe shape with mixed-fabrication panels, balancing ethical design with current aesthetics. Roscomar is an excellent complement to the quiet streetwear wardrobe, with each sneaker created in a neutral and monochromatic palette.
