Money-Printing Adidas The Jeremy Scott ‘Wings' Is Now Available In A Low-Top Version

Only 100 pairs of Jeremy Scott's iconic money-printed Adidas Forum shoe were released in 2003, when he and the brand introduced them. Scott has now introduced a new version of the cash-covered sneakers, after re-releasing a somewhat more accessible 1,200 pairs of the high-top shoe.

The designer's maximalist approach is toned down significantly with the Forum 84 Low ADV, which is trimmed to ankle length but still features the designer's distinctive dollar pattern and winged attachments. It's the first time the JS Money Wings sneaker has been released as a low-top shoe, however the Forum's forthcoming release may be the final chance for fans to get their hands on one.

Except for the cream laces, Adidas Trefoil tongue tag, and Three Stripes, the Forum's top is entirely covered with money designs. The low-top shoe lacks the dark green embellishments of its high-top sibling, making it slightly more wearable. For good measure, Scott's autograph is engraved onto the medial midsole.

Detachable Wings with a cash print sit next to the lace unit. Their shape has changed somewhat from the original Wings models — they're now slanted downwards rather than pushed back towards the heel — but most of the shoe hasn't changed to honor Scott's initial collaboration with Adidas.

In keeping with this theme, the Forum 84 Low ADV shoe has $100 bill graphics, a reference to the JS Money Wings' original $100 price tag. The American dollar depicted on the shoe, however, isn't exactly correct; Scott's face substitutes the historical figure usually featured in the bill's middle. Co-branded insoles round off the look.

Although Adidas has not said how many pairs of the winged low-top shoes will be issued, previous releases indicate that supply will be extremely limited. The Money Wings Forum 84 Low ADVs are set to release on October 21 on Adidas' website, with a retail price of $200 — and sadly, cash carrying Scott's face will not be accepted as payment.
