A$AP Nast And Lacoste Collaborate On The L001 Lux Sneaker

Lacoste just debuted their newest sneaker, the L001, with the aid of rapper and crocodile tattooed enthusiast A$AP Nast. The luxurious shoe is set to be a new classic from the French luxury brand, inspired by a blend of the company's rich tennis tradition and contemporary shoemaking.

René Lacoste, the company's creator, earned the moniker "the Crocodile" for his ferocity on the tennis court. Nast, an American model, recording artist, and songwriter who is a member of the Harlem hip-hop band A$AP Mob, wears the L001, which combines Lacoste's famous legacy components, anchored in an authentic past, and tennis DNA with today's current fashion standard.

“The crocodile to me is an extraordinary being,” Nast said in a Melodie Mcdaniel-directed promo for the L001. 

The sneaker's primary elements are sourced from the brand's archives, echoing Lacoste creative director Louise Trotter's frequent use of retro motifs. René Lacoste's first shoe, the René, inspires the L001's attitude, while the shoe's classic angular shape mimics kinetic lines that run along antique racket handles from the 1980s.

The L001 is a combination of something old and something fresh.

The L001 sports subtle touches like a herringbone-patterned midsole and embossed croc toward the heel, a salute to the brand’s heritage. Even the colorways for its first drop — creamy leather uppers, brownish outsoles, primary color accents — hark back to bygone times that influence much of Lacoste’s recent output.

This classic low-top is quite popular right now. The L001's smooth, tumble leather and minimalist essence are rooted in old-school court sneaker motifs, making it an elevated shoe choice that assures style longevity and is practical for most situations, whether dressing up or down, day or night. And, as Nast shows, the sneakers look great with Trotter's Lacoste's post-prep, paired with either velour tracksuits or trim corduroys.

The L001 footwear is priced at $115 and is currently available through all Lacoste outlets.

Review: Nike Air Max 90 Hot Coral

Features These arrive in a slender red and grey Nike box, same like the other AMIII colorways. On one side of the box is a flashback boxtag, and on the other is the current tag. An orange rubbery plastic hangtag, magenta anatomical arch supports, and basic flat white laces are included. The inside of the tongue has a retro size tag, and the size is stated inside the ankle. Materials There's nothing out of the ordinary here; the recraft quality is on par with the other AM3 retros. With the felt swoosh, the upper is primarily smooth leather and mesh. The materials are softer and more durable than non-recraft AM90s, but the shoe isn't quite a "materials" sneaker. The sole purpose of this shoe is to elicit that old 1990 vibe, and the materials are acceptable for that purpose. With This Spooky Superstar, adidas Gets Into The Halloween Spirit

adidas isn't usually one to get into the Halloween mood, but this year is different. The company has been teasing what's in store for the night since July, with delights like applique-adorned ZX 8000s and a Jack-O-Lantern embellished Superstar, as seen above.  The shell toe, unlike the ZX runner, is considerably more restrained, opting for a basic get-up. The side is made up of black corduroy and tumbled leather stripes, with a shadow plaid eye stay in the middle. The carved spider web design on the tongue, despite being blackened out, adds intrigue. Orange logos and pumpkin dubraes appear everywhere, while the lining stands out with its fuzzy green material.
