New Balance 992 Blue Teal Rose “Seersucker”
Looks:
The “M992NT,” as this hue is officially named, isn't as brilliant as the multicolor, but it's surely not as quiet as the gray New Balance is renowned for. The upper's short-haired suede in electric blue is the first thing you notice. A slightly darker nubuck panel and a teal suede toe and dirt guard run the length of the shoe to balance off the electric blue.
Highlights on the shoe may be done in a variety of ways. The highly reflective mesh panels are the most noticeable. The suede on the toe and sides of the shoe is contrasted the most by these.
The embellishments on the back largely change to a brilliant white leather. A harder material will most likely help these high-stress regions. The rose tones are still there, with a 992 logo printed in rose right at your ankle.
Seersucker is a nickname for the shoe that refers to the cotton striped panels that mimic the summertime fabric. Even if it appears to be a little more resilient in this location. The top is finished off with metallic grey cutouts of the 992 emblem and "USA" on the heel and tongue.
Fresh Balance put a pink heel cub in the back to assist support the foam, which now has new balance branding below the plastic. The under-plastic design differs from the original 2006 pair. The logo on the original was on top of the plastic. On the back and side of the shoe, there is a translucent gel that is prominently branded with New Balance's ABZORB logo.
Finally, the majority of the outsole is blue. Grey accents and a transparent gray and pink "992" cut out at the heel support, on the other hand, add some aesthetic appeal.
On both sneakers, there is loose stitching, partial punch-outs, and unfinished edges, thus the build quality isn't great. To be fair, once the shoe laces are in place, all of these mistakes are hidden, but others may uncover flaws in unexpected places.
Fit & Comfort:
The fit is shockingly tight in the toe box during early wears for a shoe this huge, so enormous that it was actually longer than the box it arrived in. In regular shoes, I usually wear a size 12 to 13, and this size 13 is only just wearable in toe-box width. Keep your eyes peeled for an updated long-term evaluation in the near future.
Despite the initial stiffness, the 992 offers a level of comfort that is uncommon these days. While the midsole isn't as soft as boost/react, and the top isn't as flexible as primeknit/flyknit, this shoe provides a unique level of comfort.
Instead of the firm that supplies the components, the shoe designers had to perform the work. It's like working as a computer programmer in the 1980s. Programmers used to be able to pack whole multi-hour games into data files the size of this post's photos.
The various colors of the outsole indicate different thicknesses of foam beneath your feet. The cream part beneath your forefoot is significantly less soft than the white section. The ABZORB blocks, according to its marketing brochure, provide impact resistance, but I couldn't detect the difference.
The upper of most sneakers nowadays is a distinct experience, whether they are super contemporary canvas sneakers or classic basketball shoes. The suppleness of the leather determines the give. This is due to the original designers' inventiveness in dealing with the resources available to them.
Materials:
When it comes to materials, it's apparent that New Balance put a premium on them. The upper is made of pigskin leather and suede. Pigskin is softer than cowskin, allowing the upper to move more freely than a cowskin-based shoe. Pigskin, on the other hand, is more susceptible to scratches, rips, and tears, and some individuals avoid wearing it for ethical or religious reasons.
